Bob Marley’s song “Redemption Song” is my favorite song for many reasons. When the song begins to play I am automatically relaxed. The music grabs my attention and makes me think about what I am happy about in my life. Bob Marley is a hero of mine, because of the messages that he gives through the lyrics. The line “none but ourselves can free our mind” is more then just a cluster of words, but it gives me inspiration and motivation. When I play this song I feel like I can do anything and that I need to enjoy the simple things in life. The lyrics make me aware of how people abuse what beauty is around us. The song taught me that to be happy and free, I just have to be open minded and have a free spirit.
